Case studies, when they can be honest.

Every agency site shows a grid of logos with "300% revenue increase." Here is a different standard: real projects, written up with numbers the client can verify, published only with the client's permission. That permission is asked for on every completed engagement — the collection grows as grants come in.

What a case study from this practice covers

Not testimonials. The write-ups that get published here follow one structure: the business problem as stated by the client, the scope and price band of the work, the decisions made and why, what launched, and what happened after — measured in the metrics the client already tracks, not invented percentages.

If a number cannot be sourced from the client's own analytics or accounting, it does not appear. That rule costs the site some dazzle. It is also why everything else on it can be trusted.

Until then: the engagement shapes

What can be shown honestly today is the shape of real work — the categories every engagement here falls into, with what they typically involve and cost:

The platform build

WordPress or Shopify, designed around the client's content model, launched with CWV gates and a trained editor. Typically $3k–25k, 3–10 weeks.

$3K–25KBUILD

The rescue

Site a previous developer left slow, broken or held hostage. Audit, stabilise, rebuild the worst parts, hand back control. Typically $2k–15k.

$2K–15KRESCUE

The migration

Platform or host moves with full URL mapping, content parity and rankings kept — the work where discipline visibly pays. $1k–20k.

$1K–20KMIGRATION

The custom build

Web apps and platforms where off-the-shelf fought the requirements — Node, React, PostgreSQL, documented handover. $15k–80k.

$15K–80KCUSTOM

The ongoing care

Maintenance and improvement retainers: updates, tested restores, monitoring, small builds. The unglamorous work that keeps the rest alive.

MONTHLYCARE

The performance pass

Core Web Vitals rescue on existing sites — images, code, caching, hosting. Measurable before/after, tools anyone can rerun.

$1K–8KSPEED
