Launch Day Checklist: Prepare for Your One-Day Build
Everything that must exist before a one-day build starts. Print it, fill it, ship it.
This is the same checklist our clients get on booking. It exists because a one-day build is won or lost the evening before. No signup, no email gate. Print it or copy it.
The decision section, where one-day builds are actually won
- The one sentence: what you do, for whom. A stranger could repeat it back correctly.
- The one action: when a visitor is convinced, what do they do? Call, form, booking, buy. One primary, one secondary at most.
- The pages, listed by name, each with a job: home does X, services does Y. If a page has no job, it has no slot.
- Platform chosen, or delegated to us with reasoning: WordPress for frequent self-editing, Astro or static for speed and security.
- The date, on a day someone can answer a midday question and do a 16:00 review.
The content section
- Your text for every page, rough is fine, absent is fatal. Paste emails, old brochures, voice notes transcribed, anything real.
- Photos: logo as PNG or SVG, six to ten real images, headshot of an actual human for about or contact.
- Reviews: two to four, verbatim, with permission, in the customer’s own words. If you have none, say so and we structure around it. We never invent them.
- The three cost/trust questions answered somewhere: what it roughly costs, why to trust you, what happens after contact.
- Legal bits if they apply: business name and registration details, privacy policy, terms.
The access section
- Domain registrar login, or the decision that we register it in your name at cost.
- Hosting login if it exists, or the decision on fresh hosting.
- Email access or DNS access for the form notifications and domain verification.
- Accesses shared through the brief link, not pasted into chat, and never by email attachment.
The red flags that move launch dates
A missing decision from section one moves the date by a day. Content arriving after 09:00 moves review to the next day. “Let’s decide the homepage during the day” is not a plan, it is a delay with a calendar entry. Every one of these is fine, announced and rescheduled. What they cannot be is surprises.
Fill it, send it, done
Clients who send this checklist filled get a same-day brief reply and the earliest slot. If filling it reveals the project is bigger than a one-page build, the reply routes you to the Full Website package or a custom quote instead, and the checklist still did its job.
To us, the fastest path is choosing your package directly: we will fill this in with you in fifteen minutes, on a call or over chat.
This page, as a launch day.
Fixed price, fixed date, you own everything. If your project outgrows the day, we say so before you pay.
