The lost-leads audit: how many enquiries did your website silently lose?

A one-hour audit for Indian business websites: forms that do not deliver, WhatsApp clicks nobody counted, analytics without conversions, and the silent lead leaks. Do it yourself today.

Websites do not lose leads loudly

Nobody emails you to say "your form ate my enquiry". The lead tries, fails, and buys from the next result. This audit finds those failures in about an hour, with no tools beyond your own site, your inbox and your phone. Run it this week; the findings are never comfortable and always valuable.

Step 1: fill your own form (5 minutes)

Submit a real enquiry from your phone, on mobile data, not office wifi. Then wait: 10 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours. Check the inbox you believe receives it, then the spam folder, then any CRM or sheet. Three outcomes: it arrives (good), it lands in spam (deliverability problem, see the fix guide), or nothing arrives at all (silent failure, the worst case, and common).

Step 2: try to become a customer (10 minutes)

Open your site on a phone. Can you tell in five seconds what you do? Is the contact path one tap away? Does the WhatsApp button open a chat with the right number? Do the phone links work? Is the form longer than it needs to be? Every friction point is a lead someone else collected.

Step 3: check whether you are counting (10 minutes)

Open analytics. Can you see last month's form submissions as a number? WhatsApp clicks? Calls? If analytics only shows pageviews, you do not have measurement, you have a hit counter. The fix list: the GA4 setup guide.

Step 4: follow one lead end to end (10 minutes)

From form submission to reply: who receives the notification, how fast does someone answer, where is the lead stored so it cannot be lost, and what happens when the person who receives it is on leave? Most Indian SMB websites fail this step, not at the form but in the gap after it, see the lead routing guide.

Step 5: score it honestly

One point each: form delivered to the right inbox, submission stored somewhere permanent, analytics shows it as a conversion, someone replied within a business day, WhatsApp and phone tested working. Five out of five is rare. Below three, your website is a net with holes, and the fix list above each gap is priced and small: deliverability fix, analytics setup, lead routing, or the whole bundle as a care plan.

The expensive version of this audit

This desk runs it as a paid engagement too, with device-level testing, analytics verification, email header forensics and a written fix list, see the hire page. But honestly: run the five steps above yourself first. The leads you save this month pay for the time.
